Worldcoin has announced a partnership with Dune, a web3 data analytics platform, aimed at enhancing data accessibility for its upcoming blockchain, World Chain. This collaboration, revealed on October 11, will ensure that users, including developers, can access on-chain metrics related to real human identity verification, decentralized finance protocols, and other blockchain projects.

The partnership is particularly significant as it comes just ahead of World Chain’s mainnet launch. Dune will work alongside Worldcoin, project contributor Tools for Humanity, and the Worldcoin Foundation to promote transparency in on-chain data.

Founded by Sam Altman, Worldcoin has navigated a complex landscape since its July 2023 launch, facing regulatory challenges and controversies related to its token supply. Despite this, the project has seen growth in its iris scanning and identity verification services. In 2024, Worldcoin expanded its World ID verification product to several European countries, as well as into Asia and South America, although it encountered setbacks in regions like Hong Kong, Spain, and Portugal.

World Chain, built on the OP Stack, is set to integrate with World ID, World App, and the native WLD cryptocurrency. It will also leverage Ethereum and Optimism as part of its Superchain strategy. Users who verify their identity on World Chain will receive benefits such as priority block space and gas-free transactions, enhancing the overall user experience within the network.
