Munhari, the owner of Palappa Genna’ Cafe and Resto, expressed his gratitude to the Pi Network community in Pamekasan during a recent gathering at his restaurant. “Alhamdulillah, we can gather together with the pioneers of Pamekasan who are members of the Pi global showroom. Hopefully, together with Pi, we will succeed,” said Munhari, who also works as a civil servant.
“Eat as much as you like, pay with Pi,” he added as he served the dishes prepared for the event.
During the gathering, Pamekasan senior Pioneer Sajjad shared valuable insights with the attendees. As a member of the local district Education Council, he encouraged fellow pioneers to remain diligent in mining Pi coins by clicking the lightning bolt symbol every 24 hours. He also emphasized the importance of keeping their accounts secure.
Pi Coin (PI) is the native cryptocurrency of the Pi Network, a blockchain project designed to make mining accessible to users with mobile devices. It aims to provide a digital currency that can be used for everyday transactions. According to Techopedia.com, the Pi development team promotes the project as an alternative to traditional Bitcoin mining, which is typically dominated by large mining farms with specialized equipment, making it inaccessible for most individual users.
Since its launch in 2019, the project has sparked debate regarding its legitimacy as a cryptocurrency. The name “Pi” references the mathematical constant π, symbolizing the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter.
In early 2023, the project initiated several hackathons, encouraging participants to develop applications in gaming, decentralized finance (DeFi), and the metaverse for the Pi ecosystem. Currently, the project claims to have 55 million users, referred to as “Pioneers,” who have successfully completed Know Your Customer (KYC) checks and are preparing to migrate from testnet to mainnet.
