Sonic and Galaxy Interactive launch a fund for Web3 gaming

Sonic SVM and Galaxy Interactive have recently launched the G.A.M.E. Fund 1, a new initiative designed to fuel innovation across several key areas in the Web3 ecosystem. The fund, ranging from $200,000 to $1 million, is specifically focused on advancing Web3 gaming, the development of AI agents, and enhancing TikTok content creation. This initiative is intended to support projects that are leveraging Sonic’s Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) and the Sonic HyperGrid framework, providing crucial funding and technical resources to developers working within these ecosystems.

The fund has already made its first investment in Gomble Games, a major player in the casual mobile gaming space with over 110 million global users. This partnership is significant as Gomble Games, supported by prominent investors like Binance Labs, Animoca Brands, and Altos Ventures, is exploring opportunities to integrate blockchain technology into their games. The goal is to use Sonic’s infrastructure to enable on-chain solutions while also exploring new Web3 opportunities, particularly within the popular social media platform, TikTok. Sonic’s Applayer platform, which focuses on TikTok, has already successfully onboarded over 2 million users and aims to bring gaming experiences tailored to the TikTok audience.

The G.A.M.E. Fund 1 is divided into three major verticals. The first focuses on driving Web3 gaming innovation by providing developers with the necessary infrastructure and tools to build games on Sonic’s SVM. The second vertical supports the development of AI agents, which are autonomous virtual characters capable of enhancing user interactions and contributing to collective intelligence in digital environments. The third vertical aims to improve TikTok content creation by offering content creators monetization tools and creating gaming experiences that resonate with TikTok’s vast and active user base.
