Securitize, a platform focused on the tokenization of real-world assets, has announced its integration with Wormhole, a leading interoperability protocol. This partnership will enable Securitize to offer cross-chain support for its users, expanding the flexibility and liquidity of its platform.
By integrating Wormhole as its primary interoperability solution, Securitize can now facilitate the seamless transfer of tokenized funds across multiple blockchain networks, including Ethereum, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Optimism, and Polygon. This capability is particularly beneficial for institutional investors, allowing them to move assets more easily across different blockchain ecosystems, enhancing liquidity and access.
The partnership with Wormhole will empower Securitize to expand the reach of tokenized assets from major clients like BlackRock, Hamilton Lane, and KKR, further enabling the seamless scaling of these assets across networks. Carlos Domingo, the co-founder and CEO of Securitize, highlighted that the integration will allow tokenized assets like BlackRock’s BUIDL to scale effortlessly across new networks, providing greater access and liquidity for investors.
This is not the first time Securitize has worked with Wormhole. The two companies previously partnered in 2023 for cross-chain messaging, and this new integration further builds on their collaboration. Securitize has been leveraging Wormhole’s technology to enhance interoperability for asset managers, particularly those managing tokenized real-world assets.
Wormhole’s protocol has powered over $55 billion in cross-chain volume, and its technology is being adopted by various crypto platforms and protocols for interoperability. Notable recent integrations include partnerships with stablecoin issuers like Agora and Transfero, DeFi platform Infinex, multi-asset liquidity provider Flow Traders, and top decentralized exchange Uniswap. Other significant collaborations involve major companies such as Google Cloud, USDC issuer Circle, and tech giant AMD.
This strategic move by Securitize to integrate Wormhole highlights the increasing importance of interoperability in the blockchain and digital asset space, as platforms look to improve liquidity, scalability, and access for institutional investors and users across multiple blockchain ecosystems.
