In early 2018, during a late game night, our co-founders Mani, Idan, and Dirk found themselves at the intersection of innovation and imagination. The digital collectibles craze, powered by non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on blockchain technology, had just taken the world by storm, exemplified by the likes of CryptoKitties. As they rolled the dice and contemplated the possibilities, a vision inspired by monopoly and the introduction of true ownership began to take shape.
“What if we could tokenize the real world using the same technology that’s revolutionizing digital collectibles?” they wondered. “What if every property on Earth could become a unique, non-fungible asset verified by blockchain? Imagine trading virtual properties tied to real-world addresses, properties you actually own.
“And thus, Upland was born. From that moment on, the co-founders met almost every day, tirelessly planning, refining, and developing their vision. Upland wasn’t just about gaming; it was about creating a metaverse where people could play, socialize, and even earn a living. It was a true digital open economy, seamlessly blending the real and virtual worlds, and, importantly, designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of their technical expertise.
With the conceptual and technical pieces falling into place, Uplandme, Inc. was officially incorporated in July 2018. Following a seed round backed by angel investors and C3 Venture Capital (formerly FinLab AG), coding efforts kicked into high gear in December 2018. By June 2019, the closed beta for the city of San Francisco was introduced to the first Upland users, and since January 2020, Upland’s open beta has been live and accessible across platforms, starting with iOS and Android, followed by the Web a few months later.

Ever evolving landscape dynamic and growth is constant for all players. One can participate and enjoy the game without spending money on everything. Love the web3 integration and metaVentures, collectibles for fans, cool art style and community! *****

It’s not a scam, you can make real money in this game, yet it’s not that easy, you have to spend some time knowing how it works. The main skill you’ll have to learn is patience, you’ll need to follow and use out sources to get important data that will help you making your decisions. You need to accept the fact that you’ll lose real money until you learn how to make it in game. The game is still growing, there are a lot of feature we players wish to be added to the game in the future

For some reason everything is zoomed. Everyone exceeds the edge of the screen. Also sometimes I will open the app and it will not take up all the screen but only the top left corner. Sorry but it’s terrible and I will no longer use this app.

Now it seems this game is just the most boring one out there. You used to collect rents once a month and it would be a decent amount, now its some bs percentage that’s super low so you get like 150 upx a week. Plus every property on sale is on the web or ridiculously high priced. Boring game with no real upside, upx worth is like .0001 cent

UPDATE: thanks for further proving my point with your inaccurate response to my genuine concerns that you don’t seem to understand even though it’s your own interface and in-game messaging system. Do better. They can’t even be bothered to provide accurate inbox / messaging info for players. Community Management team is horrible. Try the game but don’t spend USD.

Was a user of this game. Didn’t do the weekly login. Lost anything I had accumulated. Which isn’t much since the game is heavily pay to progress. You make little to nothing if you aren’t buying UPX. Tried to start over. When I find an affordable property, I’m too far out of range. You’re damned regardless of what you do in this game.

Money grab. The developers are constantly reducing property incomes and adding restrictions to try to slow down the game economy and force more people to spend real money to advance in the game. Honestly, the core gameplay loop isn’t very fun to begin with, and their main focus seems to be to make the game more profitable rather than more fun. I log in once a day to collect my property income more out of habit than anything else. Once every six to twelve months I can actually buy a property.

Restoring the account 4th time. Everytime it expires if we not extend visa upland weekly. Then you have to start from zero. But still working again to have something from it. It’s interesting but moral loses when you have to again restart from zero. Earned UXP should also be restored from where it left to keep interest in game. Hope this suggestion will make it more interesting for uplanders.

Pretty satisfying, however, I encountered problem when playing on mobile. I cannot resize the appearance of the map and everything looks too big for my screen. Can’t even see all of the options in my phone. I guess I can only play using the PC version.

If I could give negative stars, I would. I started out enjoying this game more than a year ago before it became such a blatant cash grab. Slowly, more and more “exclusive” features have been rolled out that require real money to be spent in-game. Well, I actually paid money in this game, but now, after the latest update, I can’t even log into my account anymore, so it really was all a huge waste.
