Used to enjoy the app until I updated it two days ago. Since then I have been unable to receive activation code. And the worst part is that telegram does not respond to complaint on email. I have deleted and reinstalled the app countless times but it’s still not working. This is really frustrating. I think the team should use email as alternative for sending activation codes instead of SMS.

Application is often very slow when opening the chats, downloading images and videos and opening stickers. Also it hard to find and configure download locations for files sent in chats. UPD. now it can’t even keep more than a page of chat in memory, so it constantly loading if I have to check and answer several messages from yesterday. UUPD. -1 stat, changed link opening setting to internal browser unprompted. NO settings should change without user confirmation.

I’m extremely frustrated with Telegram’s notification system, especially for secret chats, which are supposed to be fully encrypted. I only use secret chats, and notifications for these are either completely missing or severely delayed. This problem isn’t just on my end—my friends with different devices are facing the same issues. I often receive notifications only after multiple messages are sent, and the alert tones are frequently wrong.

It is unclear what is happening with secret chats. Messages do not reach the interlocutors. Although there is a checkbox about “successful sending”. It turns out that you get into a situation where you cannot find out whether the message was delivered to the recipient or not. Moreover, in some situations, notifications from secret chats do not disappear after swiping or even reading the message itself.

This app is horrible. Makes you join premium if you want to block non-contacts from sending you voice messages. Then, when you try to delete your account it makes the process very difficult. Requires you to use a browser and then when you finally figure that out it says “too many tries. Try again later.” Easy to install yet a pain to remove. Garbage app.

After three years, I still love this app! I have waited for so long, but there’s still some bugs that I think isn’t yet fixed for so long. 1, it lags so badly whenever I put too many icons (channel/profile), not reaching the actual limit (please tell me the limit of how many pictures you can put as icons). 2, sometimes the changes I made on my bio/channel doesn’t seem to save (I have to redo it back). Please fix it and I’ll update my review to 5 stars! Thank you. ^_^
