I’ve been using Brave for about a year now. The app experience is similar to chrome so the shift from chrome was seamless. Once you get used to the brave browser, we have certain nitty-gritty that we can customise to help speed our browsing. Throughout the year that I have used the app, there were no bugs that I encountered. All of this with added security and privacy, What’s not to like.

Best Browser I Have Used! I would like to mention that the built in ad blocking feature has recently stopped working to block ads on YouTube sadly. That’s mainly the reason why I switched browsers to Brave because of the ad block feature. Added suggestions for the mobile version. Can you make an update to were we can sync our browser extensions to the mobile version? That would be awesome if you can! I use Malwarebytes, Bitwarden and ClickNClean and would love to use them on the mobile browser

This used to be the best browser if you want to avoid ads but after the update, it became trash. Youtube doesn’t even work properly anymore when brave shields up and if you turn it off so you can watch youtube, then you’ll get the ads. nothing different from using the YouTube app. Other websites which don’t have ads before, are plagued with ads now. It’s like they removed the adblock feature which is the only thing that made this browser great. Without it, there are better browsers out there.

It crashes or freezes sometimes when I attempt to type a URL. Disappointing. You also cannot play embedded videos such as on the BBC News site, which is a pretty big failing. Now I’ve noticed that there is no way to set a URL as a homepage, as the option has been removed, most inconvenient. I only use this for YouTube now. Still crashes on that.

Unfortunately, the inability to change simple things like font size or search preferences is a deal-breaker for me. Unless I’m missing something and that’s possible because I can’t read it well, this app needs to be improved quite a bit. Sometimes I don’t get anything for a search result except the option to tap way up at the top for an AI response. The amount of popups advertising their premium or telling me how many ads have been blocked are insane. At least let me try it first.

The ad block and everything is great, but I now can’t use the VPN. This isn’t the first time this happened, but it corrected itself a few weeks ago. I paid for a year’s subscription, and my Google subscriptions shows that it should expire in February 2025, but the website is now saying I don’t have an active plan. Whenever I try to launch the VPN, it now just asks me to purchase and browse plans. I have enjoyed the app otherwise, but this is frustrating.

This used to be a great browser that blocked ads. But just recently, ALL YouTube videos have a blank pink screen. I can hear audio, but no video. And I can’t find a way to contact the devs for support, so leaving this review is all I can do. I’ve tried clearing the cache, reinstalling the app, restarting my device, disabling & re-enabling Google play services, etc. Nothing helps. So many websites have links to YouTube videos instead of articles anymore, it’s making this browser virtually useles.

NO DATA HARVESTING. LOVE THAT. I’ve been loyal to Brave for ….jeepers….a decade or more(has it been that long?!), and adore the app. Unfortunately the version on my 1+ is really difficult to navigate. The back button is non-existent(multiple ppl cannot find it), and if I place the cursor in the search bar, the page I am on vanishes, and no amount of tapping or minimizing the keyboard will get me back to it. I have to reload it. That’s more problematic than it may sound. Still – big fan

I’ve been using this browser for months now, and it has never disappointed me. I use it all the time to browse through the web or watch videos on youtube, and it works like a charm. Although while viewing videos on youtube in fullscreen, I’m unable to use the settings button. I have to bring it back to portrait mode, and then change the settings (i.e., change the video quality or the playback speed). Otherwise, this browser is the best 👌
