Dana White’s Power Slap Partners with VeChain for Global Expansion

Dana White’s Power Slap, a rapidly growing slap-fighting championship, has teamed up with VeChain to expand its global reach. The long-term partnership was announced by White, the CEO of Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and founder of Power Slap, alongside Sunny Lu, the co-founder and CEO of VeChain. The deal was revealed in a press release and shared through social media.

VeChain, which has been UFC’s official blockchain partner since 2022, will now serve as the official sponsor and title partner of Power Slap events. Additionally, VeChain will be the slapping championship’s official cryptocurrency. This partnership aims to bring Power Slap events to a wider audience, with the first event under this collaboration, “VeChain Power Slap 12: Quinones vs. Bordeaux 2,” scheduled for March 7, 2025, at Fontainebleau Las Vegas. The event will be broadcast live on Power Slap’s YouTube channel, offering free streaming to viewers worldwide.

Sunny Lu expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, highlighting the shared values between Power Slap and VeChain, particularly their focus on community and decentralization. “In Power Slap, everyone has a chance to rise to the top, and like blockchains, it’s about giving power to the people,” Lu said.

As the official title sponsor, VeChain’s branding will appear prominently across Power Slap’s broadcast content, live streams on YouTube, athletes’ official kits, and various marketing materials like event posters and promotional backdrops. This move is a part of a broader strategy to expand Power Slap’s global presence, leveraging VeChain’s blockchain platform to increase exposure and engagement.

The partnership is expected to grow further, with plans for additional integrations between VeChain, Power Slap, and potentially UFC, along with its charitable UFC Foundation. White emphasized the sport’s rapid growth on social platforms, noting that Power Slap has gained over 22 million followers and accumulated more than 13 billion views. He expressed excitement about the future, stating that with VeChain’s support, they aim to take Power Slap to the next level.

VeChain, having partnered with UFC in 2022 and again in 2024 to promote the VeBetter ecosystem, continues to position itself as a leader in blockchain adoption, further integrating tokenization into the sports and entertainment world.
