YouTuber Coffeezilla (Stephen Findeisen) has been publicly clashing with Andrew Tate after Tate’s apparent flip-flop from being a crypto critic to promoting meme coins.
Coffeezilla ran a clip showing Tate, who had previously positioned himself as a crypto skeptic, making statements that dismissed the industry. In one of his past comments, Tate explained, “I just like to f— with crypto Twitter because crypto Twitter are full of the biggest degenerate losers on the planet.” He also expressed a strong disinterest in cryptocurrencies, claiming, “Crypto is the only scenario I can think of where you can make a whole bunch of money while benefiting society zero.”
Tate, who has built his brand as a controversial figure and a self-styled misogynist, boasts over 10 million followers on X (formerly Twitter). His recent turn toward promoting meme coins, however, has sparked backlash from critics like Coffeezilla, who is known for his investigative approach to scams and controversies in the crypto world.
Coffeezilla takes a closer look
Coffeezilla’s investigation sheds light on Andrew Tate’s recent promotion of several meme coins, many of which suffered significant crashes following his endorsements.
One such project, “ROOST”, saw a dramatic 90% decline after Tate publicly backed it. Another coin, “F Madonna token,” also performed poorly after Tate’s promotion. These incidents contradict Tate’s previous statements in which he criticized the crypto space for its association with “gambling” and “rug pulls”—a term used to describe fraudulent schemes where the project founders disappear with investors’ funds.
The investigation also zeroes in on Tate’s involvement with the “Real World Token,” a cryptocurrency linked to his online educational program, once known as Hustler’s University. Coffeezilla describes the token’s structure as resembling a pyramid scheme, where subscribers accumulate “PowerPoints”—which can later be converted into tokens that supposedly represent a share of the school’s profits. This model raises red flags, with critics drawing comparisons to classic pyramid-style financial schemes.
Tate’s controversial behavior extends beyond the crypto world, as he was arrested in Romania in 2022 on charges of human trafficking and organized crime. Despite his legal troubles, Tate and his brother, Tristan, continue to assert their innocence. His case has garnered widespread international attention, contributing to his polarizing public image.
Coffeezilla tried reaching out to Tate
In a recent YouTube video shared with his 3.8 million subscribers, Coffeezilla detailed his attempt to get a response from Andrew Tate regarding his findings on Tate’s promotion of failed meme coins. However, Coffeezilla claims that rather than addressing the allegations, Tate leaked his email address and encouraged his followers to harass him.
Tate’s controversial comments have continued on X (formerly Twitter), where he stated that it was “super fun” to have the ability to “randomly pump any coin” on the market. In another tweet, he suggested he wanted to “pump everyone’s bags” and help his followers make money, a sentiment that appears to endorse market manipulation.
Tate also raised questions about why more famous individuals don’t do the same, encouraging financial success for their followers. Despite Tate’s provocative statements, Coffeezilla’s claims remain unverified, and they are currently still considered allegations.
Coffeezilla has made a name for himself by investigating various crypto scandals, including the infamous Save the Kids Token, a charity project promoted by members of the FaZe Clan. Additionally, Coffeezilla has exposed several other high-profile schemes, such as BitConnect and SafeMoon, as well as calling out well-known “financial gurus” like Grant Cardone and Tai Lopez for their questionable business practices.
