Aston Martin Aramco Partners with Coinbase for USDC-Paid Deal

Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team has entered into a groundbreaking multi-year partnership with Coinbase, marking the exchange’s debut in Formula One. The deal stands out because it is fully transacted in USDC, a stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar, making it the first time a Formula One team has disclosed receiving full payment in stablecoin.

As part of the partnership, Coinbase branding will appear prominently on the AMR25 race car, specifically on the halo and rear-wing end plates. Additionally, the branding will be featured on the racing suits of drivers Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll throughout the season.

The collaboration reflects Coinbase’s mission to drive global crypto adoption and economic freedom. Furthermore, the partnership will allow Aston Martin Aramco to explore on-chain fan engagement opportunities, potentially providing innovative ways to connect with their fanbase.

Jefferson Slack, Managing Director of Commercial at Aston Martin Aramco, emphasized the trust and confidence in Coinbase, acknowledging the company’s expertise in digital finance. He also highlighted that the deal, transacted fully in USDC, signals both teams’ commitment to innovation and building a sustainable, forward-thinking relationship. This partnership not only brings crypto to the racing world but also represents a significant step toward mainstream adoption of digital assets in global industries.
