Ai16z Launches Beta Version of ElizaOS as Token’s Price Continues to Decline

Ai16z has officially released the beta version of ElizaOS v2.1.0, but despite this significant development, its AI16Z token continues to struggle, showing no signs of a price recovery yet.

The founder of Ai16z, Shaw, announced the release of the ElizaOS v2 beta on X, but cautioned users that it’s still in the beta phase and “the job’s not done.” In January, Shaw highlighted the shift in the development of ElizaOS version 2 from a solo effort to a more collaborative one involving both internal and external teams. The goal is to address challenges faced by AI agents, particularly their ability to set and follow long-term objectives autonomously. To achieve this, Hierarchical Task Networks (HTNs) have been integrated into ElizaOS v2, allowing agents to break down complex tasks into smaller, manageable steps, and autonomously execute multi-step processes. This means that AI agents using ElizaOS can not only react but proactively plan and execute tasks.

However, despite these advancements in ElizaOS, AI16Z token has not experienced the same success. The token has been struggling, down by 12% in the past 24 hours, with its price at $0.17, significantly below its 20-day EMA of $0.24, indicating continued bearish momentum. The price has remained below the 20-day EMA since mid-January, pointing to a lack of strong upward price action. The local support zone is around $0.15-$0.17, but it remains to be seen if the token can break out of this downward trend.

Currently, AI16Z is trading at 92% below its all-time high of $2.48, set on January 2, and there has been no noticeable uptick in trading volume or buying activity despite the ElizaOS beta release. With the token’s price languishing in the bottom-out phase, all eyes are on the upcoming final release of ElizaOS v2, hoping it might help trigger some recovery in the token’s price. But for now, the outlook remains bleak for both the token and its broader ecosystem.
